Low White Blood Cell Count

by Jen81500, May 22, 2008 10:43AM
I have had a low wbc count now for about 5 or 6 years. I am 21 years old now. I would just like to know if I should have regular checkups e.g. blood tests every 6 months just to check it does not fall any lower? The lowest it has been was 2.5, and the highest was 3.6. Concerned at this point in time as I have got a bad cold- first proper one for months/ years.
Do you think I need a checkup, and how would I go about it? I don't want to go to docs if there is no point. I will feel I am wasting my time.
