Multiple Painful Lipomas

by kell72, Mar 07, 2009 11:05PM
I have several painful lipomas on lower back, knees, elbows, groin and stomach. I researched and seem to have alot of symptoms associated with Dercum's disease. What kind of doctor should I see and what tests should I have done?

go see a dermatologist, and how do you know they are lipomas, and not mesenchymomas or fibrous fat nodules? they will probably excise a few and biopsy them to ensure no cancer is present...good day

I have had 4 of the largest ones removed and they were biopsied. And were not cancerous.. Thanks for the tip.
