Possible bruised ribs or strained muscle ?

by Lepusia, Oct 06, 2008 03:00PM
Hi, Let me cut to the chase. Yesterday I was having major headaches at work. After work, about two minutes away from the hotel, I felt dizzy, my legs felt weak and I lost balance. Needless to say, I fell flat on my stomach. The force of the impact was painful but nothing I considered major. This morning I went to the doc about my headaches and she is now keeping an eye on my blood pressure, as it was high.
I had minor pain in my chest but nothing I was worried about. However, after doing some grocery shopping this afternoon, I started having major chest pain. Like at the bone area between my breasts, and also on the right side of my rib area. When I cough, laugh, it hurts painfully. When I breathe, it hurts a bit.
So I was wondering if anyone had an idea of what may be the cause ? Should I go see a doctor again for this pain ? I keep telling myself I will be better in a few days. Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks.

Hi ,

My brother recently got married, a week ago today actually and I remember having a great time , holding my 5 yr old daughter doing the electric slide, I am having so much pain on my left side under and around my rib cage I wince when I move or to get up from sitting , when I laugh or cough it hurts to the point I don't want to do such things as laugh right now or cough.  I called my doctor and she said take motrin and put a heating pad on it, and if im not feeling better by monday I need to be seen.  Hope this helps....my advice see your doctor, and definately get an x ray.

Good Luck
