Rash on hand...never had before

by Dancerinmo, Nov 26, 2008 03:30AM
Today is the morning of the 26th...about 1 week ago I noticed a small section on my left hand (under my thumb) that started itching and looked like a small rash. Well the next night the rash had started to spread to my hand. Now a week later the rash looks like small red bumps except for a few red splotches on each of my knuckles.
Now this rash is on my knuckles(of both hands), the top of my hands, and also my wrist.
It is red and it itches. Hands are also a bit I guess you could say feel dry and maybe scaley in some areas.
I tried putting lotion on my hands thinking maybe my hands are just dry and it was a rash from the cold but it stings when I put the lotion on. I stopped using the liquid hand soap I was using thinking it was an allergic reaction but I stopped that about 2 days ago and still nothing has improved.

I do not have medical insurance until January so seeing a doctor is pretty much out of the picture.
Please help
