Sebaceous Cyst

by Allison282, Feb 26, 2008 09:10AM
I had a sebaceous cyst removed from my back (shoulder area) 14 months ago.  It was inflammed after the birth of my daughter.   For a month now I have had some severe pain on that side of my back which seems to all stem from the spot my cyst once was.  It is very painful.  Not sure if it is from lifting, my bra strap, carrying bags, etc.  You never know with a toddler :).  My questions are:
1.  Is this unusual?
2.  What can I do to manage the pain besides taking pain relievers for the rest of my life?
3.  Is this a short term problem?
4.  Should I see my doctor?  (not sure what she can do)
I just don't want to live the rest of my life with this pain.
Thank you in advance for your reply!
