Doesn't sound like a threat to me, but then again my lymph node swelled up like the size of an apple which which was apparently Hodgkins disease. My doctor told me that if it doesn't hurt when you press on it (which was my case), it is more dangerous.
Your's is probably nothing, though it wouldn't hurt to see your doctor again and make sure that it is not a problem. Lymph nodes usually swells up a little when the body is fighting viruses (cold, flu, etc) or if there's an open wound.
