The plain film does not suggest any bony abnormality. I would consider more comprehensive testing at this point.
A nerve conduction study can be considered to evaluate for neuropathy or pinched nerve. A back MRI can also be considered to look for a herniated disk or ligament damage.
At this time, a referral to an orthopedist or physiatrist (rehabiliation MD) can be considered.
