Swelling on both sides- about 2 inches below ear

I recently notice swelling on my next below both of my ears. The swelling on the right side is a bit larger than the swelling on the left. It's doesn't hurt when I press on either of them, but I have recently been feeling bad (before the swelling started). Is there any medicine I could get over the counter for this? And what is the common diagnosis?

it sounds like your lymph nodes. do you have an earache or allergies? this could be causing the swelling. you should see your dr. you may need antibiotics. take care. Remar

Hey.
Well the doctor said it was "mono.." So I'm pretty bumbed out about that. I too was thinking that it was my lymph nodes. How strange. Thanks for your help!
