Swollen Lymph Node

by JD1401, Aug 05, 2009 12:56PM
Hi,
I'm a 27yr old caucasian male in good health and I just noticed yesterday a pretty swollen lymph node under my left arm.  There is no pain yet but I have never had this before.  Should I get this checked out by my doctor or wait it out?  Thank You

Hi JD~Usually swollen lymph nodes indicate an infection somewhere.

Since this is new and it doesn't hurt, I would maybe wait a few days and if it does not go away or starts to hurt, then see your PCP.

Please let us know how you are doing.
