What does all this mean?

by nancy143, Dec 19, 2008 12:34PM
I recently had labs done for thyroid, calcium and thyroid antibodies(this is the first time this one had been checked)  My Dr. said that my calcium levels were high (don't know the number) and I do have thyroid antibodies but my thyroid level was right in the middle.  She wants to wait 2-3 weeks to check the calcium levels again.
I am constantly fatigued, dry skin, stomach problems, unable to lose weight and recently have been very thirsty.  The Dr. says because the thyroid levels are ok but the antibodies are present that eventually I will have a low thyroid condition.
Isn't there anything I can do now - everything I've read sounds like my thyroid isn't working properly.
