Worried about swollen axillary area

by SwtPea61, Mar 11, 2009 12:41AM
Quick background:  I've had undiff. mixed connective tissue disease for about 15 years; no adverse effects on internal organs, but it has created a cervical spondylosis and TIAs in brain, lesion in brain, and seizures.  Probable vasculopathy.  In other words, my immune system is always on Defcon red.  I've had swollen sore lymph nodes in my right armpit for about 4 months.  I have also been told that this is "accessory" breast tissue in the past.  I have no benefits for testing; however, before they ran out had a mammo and ultrasound.  Radiologist said fine; just highly fibrous.  So...the swelling and pain are still there.  Never gets better.  Just on one side; as far as I can tell, the nodes on my right side in other places are normal...just the axillaries are unhappy.  Family hx of Hashimoto's, fibromyalgia, lupus, the autoimmune smorgasbord basically.
Should I go to the expense of extra testing?  I'm worried.
