blood test

by sue23nj, Nov 05, 2008 07:26PM
Hi, I just had a blood test done  and results came back where LDL was 163 and HDL was 63.  And also WBC was low with 3.7 and lymphs was high with 49 and Neutrophils(alsolute) was low with 1.6.  What does all this mean?
Should I be alarmed of something, does this call for an urgent appointment with the doctor?
Let me know.

hi, ldl is bad cholesterol. it should be at 100 or below. hdl is good cholesterol and should be above 50. with women they want it to be 60 or above so yours is good. low white blood cell count,WBC, means that you probably have an infection some where in your body. i would see your dr. and ask him/her about lowering your ldl and to check and see if you have an infection. i hope this helps some. take care.
