cough and bruising

My daughter has had a very bad cough for 5 weeks. It is a wet, sometimes productive cough. She saw her doctor but they said her lungs sounded clear. I am worried because I have noticed she always has bruises that she never knows where they came from, and most disturbing was she got her thigh hit by a see saw about 4 weeks ago and it left a huge (i'm talking the size of about 2 adult hands or more) bruise, and after 4 weeks the bruise is faded but still still there. Should I be worried about ththese things pointing to a more serious condition?
