drug safety while breastfeeding

by katsue98, Aug 31, 2004 12:00AM
Hello, may I take the diet supplement called Relacore & may I shortly consume amoxycillin while I breastfeed my daughter?  Could you tell me of a site where I could go & check on drug safety during breastfeeding, please?  Thankyou very much!  ***@****

Amoxicillin is safe during breast feeding.  I am not familiar with Relacore and cannot comment on its safety.

A drug database can be found here:
http://www.rxlist.com/

If you can find a Physician's Desk Reference (PDR), that would be the definitive source of drug information.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
