I am having the same problem! I am 35 years old and for the past year any little thing I do I start sweating to the point where the hair on my head and face are litlerally dripping with sweat. It looks like I just got out of the shower. I am wondering if I have hormone issues. I go to my GYN in 2 weeks for my yearly exam and I am going to request he do some hormone panels on me. My mom and grandma swear I am going through menopause already.
I too have that problem - you have described it perfectly. I am 65, however I have had this problem for many years, long before menopause and it continues and seems to get worse as time goes on. Doesn't matter what the temperature is - it happens even when it's cold with the least bit of exertion. My PCP just says "deal with it" and my rheumy doesn't seem to even take it seriously as a symptom of anything. It sure does limit any social life though, as it is so embarrassing, and I can't even even fix my hair to go out - it's wet and plastered to my head before I get out the door!
Mine seems to start on the back of my head just above my neck and work upward very quickly. Within seconds I'm dripping.
EXACTLY!! That is where mine starts too! I don't even wear any kind of foundation/ cover up make up because it just comes right off. Some of the Dr's have said it is because I am overweight but this happened (not as bad though) even when I was thin (many moons ago! :) ) I am thinking maybe something is going on with my female hormones or maybe Thyroid? You know it is really bad when you get out of the shower and within 5 minutes you a sweating big time! I live in Northern AZ and I'm sure you have heard we are a "Dry Heat" well it is only about 75 degrees with a relative humidity of 10% and here I am sweating like a pig. Maybe someday one of us will get an answer! Have a great weekend!
