fever and rash in 4 year old

My son has had a temp of about 100 for a few days, no other symptoms! Then last night I discovered he had a light rash on his stomach and back......I attributed this to a new sunscreen that we had applied that day,now I am thinking some child hood illness! What could it be????

It sounds like Roseolla... it's nothing to be concerned about. It will go away in a few more days. My 3 year old ran a fever for a couple days she didn't feel bad or anything else... then she woke up one morning with a really light rash all over the trunk of her body... then about 2 days later it was gone... and she was back to normal...
