have you thought that your vagina might be too dry? During your period, because of all the blood it becomes kinda "lubricated" and rubing against underwear doesn't annoy you. But after your period there is nothing there to protect it so it becomes irritated.
If this is the case probiotic supplements (e.g. Accidophillius) and a lactic acid based soap might help. Don't use any kind of soap with artificial colour and odour.
