hi just wondering about low white blood count as my 1 year old had just had the same and llow count on pallets? not sure what to think he is being reffered to peditrician at swindon hospital to discuss this but worried what could be wrong? what does it mean if these blood counts are low? \
Low WBC counts can be caused by a number of things to include recent viral infections. A repeat test when he is felling better is wise to ruleout other blood problems. Hopefully all will be back to normal. Low platelet counts are a different issue. Again it would be wise to repeat the platelet count to be sure it was not a lab error.
