my beta levels decreasing......

my husband and i have been trying to conceive thru invitro for a while now and finally they said i was positive.. the only problem is that my # was only 15 and they said to come back in two days and have another blood test. I went back and the numbers dropped down to 9.4. they told me to stop all medication and come back when i am ready for a consultation with the doctor......... My obgyn said under no circumstance do i stop the progesterone, that there is a possiblity that my numbers will go up. anybody have a similar story and how was the outcome... please because i am freaking out here. thanks
