occasional bleeding during sex

I'm twenty years old and I'm on birth control for starters..

When I have sex regularly meaning once a day, I do not bleed. Let's say I haven't had sex in a couple of days.. The first day I do after the few days I will bleed like a light to moderate period. The second day of sex it would be very light. Then, the third day I'll be perfectly fine.

The thing is I just ended it with my partner of one year and am embarrassed to find someone new and have sexual intercourse with them due to the bleeding. I'm afraid they won't understand and will find it disgusting. Is their something wrong with me? I've had a check up and I don't have any STDs or anything. I just don't understand it.

If you have any advice, please help!
