sprain thumb

by lolis78, Sep 21, 2009 03:11PM
My son plays for football little league and he's 8 yrs old. He injured his right hand thumb by playing football. I took him to the hospital because he's hand got swollen and he was in a lot of pain. Well the x-rays discard any broken bones, he ended having sprained thumb. How long will it take him to heal, for the fact that he has games every weekend and practice three times a week? I know he will be missing practice and games but I am more concern on how long will it take him to heal and how can he get healed faster, not because of football but because he can't write and he needs to do his homework? thanks.
