too many x-ray and cll

by wesley60, Apr 01, 2008 06:49AM
I was diagnosed with cll about 3 yrs ago. I am in the watch and wait catagory. I now recall being asked about radiation exposure during some of the consultations. I am 60 years old white male who has worked and played hard over this life, and had many injuries and x-rays (mostly low back and probably in excess of 150 plus about 4 or 5 ct scans). But nobody has asked about those x-rays. I do have avn in right hip; caused by a fracture and repair about 10 yrs back. also have an artificial disc ( l-5, s-1) done about 4 yrs ago. The hip has started to hurt some over the last 3 months or so and I have an appt. with ortho next week. I was told yrs ago that I will need to get that hip done some day. I ran a marathon about a year after that hip, and did about 15 or so triathlons over the following 2 yrs.. I retired from fire fighting in 2000 and have tried to stay in shape since then (run, bike, hike, etc.). Mentally I need that. -------My question is: What do you think about all thos X-rays past and future and my cll? I don't have an appt. with the oncologist for 6 mos.
