uticaria

by cindercharlie, Jul 19, 2009 11:30AM
I have recently been suffering from hives, almost solely confined to my anterior torso. They are present when I wake up in the morning and diminish during the day. Taking Benedryl before bed doesn't seen to make any difference. No change of laundry detergent or nighttime habits. Same phenomenon when I went camping. I am peri menopausal, no cycle for about six months and then minor spotting some days after the first hives appeared. Any ideas?

Some folks will get hives during Peri-menopause as your system is going through all kinds of changes and trying to adjust; this could make you more sensitive to things that you normally were not sensitive to in your younger days. Are you eating any different foods? I would suggest a bio-identical progesterone cream, this is the same as your body makes and this will help with Peri-menopausal symptoms and may help with the hives as well, lots of women feel so much better when using it, it can be obtained at any health food store.
