very elevated wbc help

by mommichris43, Jul 12, 2009 07:25PM
I have had a continually elevating white count for 2 months, the Dr's cannot find anything wrong with me, my white count is at 20000, and continues to climb. I was referred to a hematologist. I am scared what it could be :(

I am glad you are seeing a doctor about this. It may not be serious at all, but, it is better to be safe than sorry. It could be due to hidden inflammation such as allergies, there are certain white blood cells that are elevated if you are exposed to certain allergens. It could also mean a hidden infection. Do you have a fever? How do you feel in general?

Try not to worry too much and please keep us posted.

Sounds like some vitamin and mineral deficiency to me, and, as I said, even though you have not been sick, there still may be a hidden infection somewhere. I would talk to the doctor about it.
