what causes low anion gap in the blood?

by goolum, Sep 24, 2009 07:37PM
I had some lab work done and I got the results back from the lab.  I don't see my kidney Dr.until October 02. He is the one that ordered these labs.  I had 6 abnormal results. Some of the test was done thru a 24 hour urine test and then bood work.  These are the following results:
(1).Low anion gap it was 7. (2) Low Hematocrit was 33.6 (3) low Hemoglobin was 10.8 (4) Low RBC was 3.77 (5) Low Creatinine Clearance was 67.8 (6) I tested positive for Nitrite.  What does these results mean and should I be concerned?
Thank you,
GMB
