I thought I was doing great, but the last few days I've been having such bad hyperacidity. I've been eating tums like they're going out of fashion and I'm still in so much pain.
Am having trouble finding anything to eat that won't make it worse, when even water hurts. I threw up plain tea this morning! Seems carbs are particularly bad - plain toast makes acid, so did rice porridge tonight! Lying down is sheer fire in my chest.
Who's having hyperacidity problems. Any foods you've found you can eat? Any solutions.
I'm away from home (out of the country) so can't really contact my dr. to ask her what to take. Just gotta grin (grimmace) and bear it till 5th when I get back and can see her.
Hope this means I won't gain more weight! But this is not a good / fun way to do it! My baby's gotta hang around inside me for at least another 3 or 4 weeks. But I'm telling you I am so looking forward to getting my body back!!!
I agree with KM. I know that my daughter was allowed to take Prilosec when she was in her seventh month. The old wives tale says that indigestion during the last part of pregnancy means your baby is going to be born with alot of hair. I only found that to be partly true. I had alot of the late stage indigestion, but the babies were not born with a large amount of hair.
Do talk to your doctor when you get home. Prilosec may actually helping some of that all day morning sickness. You might be feeling nauseated due to all the indigestion. The Prilosec would help so you don't have to suffer through the rest of the pregnancy.
Hope you feel better soon. The little one will be born before you know it and things WILL return to normal in your body. Of course this means you won't sleep through the night for the next 18 years but you will get your body back.....LOL
Doc put me on nexium 3 days ago for the reflux. It is WONDERFUL! No more reflux pain. Am so relieved not to have to deal with that pain! One less discomfort to handle!

Nexium is a category B drug. So pretty safe.
