Ulrasound

I had an ultrsound today, it was for my bladder, "been having tons of problems". I asked the tech, if she could tell the baby's sex. She said she could not tell. the baby was sitting and the imblical cord was between its legs, so it covered. but she said she thinks its a girl because she could not see anything...For some reason that struck as odd, i have never heard that before. Has anyone elese have heard of it?  I have heard of the babies sitting crossed leged, but the imbilical cord?? I dotn know what do u ladies think?

I haven't heard of it before, but it sounds reasonable enough..

The dr. has not set up one for me yet. Very frustrating, i was just wondering why would she think its a girl??  Lol i dont want to get my hopes up for nothing..

it is not reliable.  last week my little ones cord was between its legs and the legs crossed.  the tech saw 3 lines which usually means girl but she said because of the cord being there i had to come back.  so i went back last night, the cord had moved and the baby uncorssed its legs and BAM penis was seen.  so that is nor reliable at all.

My friend works in the NICU, and she told me that she works with 23 week olds, and the boys have TINY penises when they're that little, so I don't know how the tech could even tell with the cord down there. Sounds fishy to me....

Ok dear, the same was recently said to me about the cord between legs and being crossed legged. The Dr. did not specify to me one way or another. She actual;ly scheduled me for another appt on the 30th, so I hope that she will be able to tell then. I am also wanting another girl so bad. BUT.... I bet with my past luck it will be another boy. lol. Whatever it is Im sure that you and I both will be happy.
