Update on Appointment!

So, at my 37 1/2 week check-up I had some good news and bad news.  As I had said before the protein in my urine was at 220 so since it wasn't over 300 my doc wasn't concerned about inducing me this past week.  But, I knew if my weight gain was still a lot and my BP was still high we were going to talk about inducing me next week.  Well the one week that I kind of wanted to gain too much weight and to have high BP was the week that didn't happen!  My BP was completely normal and I only gained 1 lb!  I know you're weight slows down towards the end but the only week during my whole pregnancy that I gained what I should have was the one I wish I didn't! LOL.  Good news was, that I ws dialated a finger tip and my cervix was really softening.  The doc said that if by my next appointment, Feb. 5, I haven't gone into labor that we will set up an induction date for the following week (we are thinking either Feb. 13 or 14 because the doc is on call those days).  He doesn't want me going past 39-40 weeks because of my size and symptoms I am having.  He also said he doesn't think the baby is going to be 9lbs, like he originally thought.  His biggest concern right now is the fact that the baby hasn't dropped, but he said that could happen at any time and he was just kind of preparing me for what could happen (c-section) if the baby doesn't drop.  My swelling is really bad still so he told me I shouldn't be working, but I told him I can't start my maternity leave until the baby is here because I don't want to just waste that time away with no baby.  So he told me I need to do half days and wrote me a note for that, though my work would let me work half days without a note so it won't be a problem.  Other than that, starting to get more crampy and more BH that hurt a little more (nothing to curl over about).  He seemed to think there is a possibility of me delivering before the end of next week but like we all know only the baby knows.

Well I hope everyone else is resting and relaxing until our little ones are here - 2 weeks or less for a lot of us!  Can't wait!

I wish my doctor was more concerned about the protein levels for me. They had mentioned that anything over 300 wasnt good..and my last one was 309 and still no induction. I dropped off another one today so hopefully.....not to sound selfish..its up there..so that I can be induced. I have been out of work for 4+ weeks with no baby yet!! I cant do this anymore. I want my little one home with me....to spend time with her.

I would be happy with no weight gain..I am now gaining what seems to be 6 pounds a week!!!! this cant continue..or I will be a HOUSE!! lol...

KM-Keep us updated and let us know how your future appointments go! I am anxious to hear everyone's stories of their labor and their little one's being brought into the world!

Well at least they are talking about induction! And I think they would schedule it for the 13th because I don't believe they can do inductions on the weekend, I believe they only schedule them Monday-Friday. But I do know if the babys hasn't dropped they will do a C-section. The same thing happened to my cousin..she went into labor and the baby hadn't dropped yet and they had to do an emergency c-section. So if she hasn't dropped by your next appointment, they may just even schedule you for one then.
I wish you luck!! We're all in the same boat, counting on our babies to decide to make their appearance!! Just have to wait which gets so frustrating! But at least we have each other :)
