Update on Baby's Weight!!

Has anyone gotten a recent update on their little ones Weight?? This interests me so much because I have NO clue whats normal at each week! My doctor insists my little boy is at a normal weight but I just never know!

I had an exam yesterday, I was 36 weeks 3 days pregnant and he was estimated to be between 6 and 6 in a half pounds. That sounds big to me but she said the last couple weeks they only put on a few ounces per week. So she said it was average.

at my appt on 12/31 i was told Logan is probably 4-5 lbs and i was 33 weeks 3 days and they said that is normal. But we shall see...

At my appointment yesterday (35 weeks 2 days) my doctor told me she is 4 - 4 1/2 pounds.  

I wouldn't worry, the doctors are never very accurate.

Oh wow, either Jonelle & I are having BIG babies or your having a tiny one!! :) Or like you said our docs are wrong.
My best friend is an U/S Tech and she said when they guess the babies weight like this its never very accurate because unless its by U/S there's no true way to tell, its all a guesstimate. But still, its so weird what makes they guess certain weights!

I guess we'll all just have to wait and see! We'll be finding out soon ladies!

6lbs isn't that big really!! It is great... At 34 weeks my baby was 4lbs 4oz. I'm sure he is over 5lbs now... I have small babies though as my largest was 7lbs 12oz born on his due date... my last was 5lbs 15oz born at 37 weeks.. Good luck!

well at my last  u/s which was   about a  week  ago they had my  baby  at  just  under five  punds and i was  only 31w5d
   they are  beginning to  worry about her size seeing as my last  baby  was  just under 10 lbs so  i  have another appoint  on the 13 and they are  going to do another u/s  to  check her  size again

I'm 36 weeks yesterday and bub was measuring at 7lbs.

My ob booked me in at the hospital (during my appointment yesterday) to be induced at 7.30am on Saturday January the 31st!

No...I know 6 pounds isn't big...but I'm thinking wow thats what he weighs now and I could possible have another 4 weeks to go! Thats what worried me. Believe me, if I had a 6 or 7 pound baby, I'd be more than happy, thats not big at all! I just thought it was big for the week I was in...but I guess not! Who knows!

Atlantisea, OMG you have an induction date!! How exciting to know you'll definitely have your baby girl by then! Thats great, keep us posted!

Not really an update since i have never known...but we had an u/s today and they told us 5 pounds 11 ounces at 35 weeks!!!

I had an u/s on Jan 6 at 33w6d and my little one is clocking in at 6lbs 11ozs...give or take a pound.

Didn't get a U/S at 34 weeks and the doctor doesn't like to guess baby's weight due to fluid and placenta....but I measured 44cm @ 34w2d...He's like, "GOOD GROWTH"-making it sounds like "GOOD GOD!"  LOL  IT was funny, but nerve recking at the same time.   So I'm scheduled to see my regular doctor (finally) at 36 weeks and we're discussing induction at 37-38 weeks....

my baby was est. at 5 1/2 lbs yesterday at exactly 36 weeks. They told me that is small.  They would like her to make more than 6 lbs and 37 weeks.

last monday fundal height was 32 cm at 35 1/2 weeks.

previously she was est at big for age, but seems growth has slowed down now...

They measured my baby girl yesterday twice the first measuring 6Lb 5oz the 2nd time 5Lb 11 oz...so they're figuring right around 6Lbs right now at 35wk 4days. They said if I del round my due date she'll be 7 1/2 - 8Lbs but doc thinks it'll be only a couple wks atmost!

They measured my girl again yesterday.  She weighed in at 5.9 lbs.  So she's gained 0.4 lb (about 200 g) since she was weighed 4 days before yesterday.  So she's going good.

No wonder my belly feels like it's expanding fit to explode.... though it really doesn't look that big.  My nurse took a photo of me the other day, and I actually (in sitting) look more fat than pregnant....

At 36w2d she weighed in at 5lbs 9oz. which is the 22nd percentile.  I'm a little nervous because at 29w she was in the 37th percentile...but the dr. says she is probably just small.

No matter what the babies weight is, I bet it'll be healthy :)  That's all we aim for, right?  I know I had twin girls, but the one was 5.12 and I thought she wa the cutest thing.  I've never seen a baby so small and yet be so heathy!  I think you'll do fine...I just can't wait until we all have our babie sand get to see what they look like!!  I'm so stoked that the dates are coming up and closing in.  

Sally- You've got to hold on hun, it's almost over :)  Easy for me to say, I'm not the one in the hospital....but I'm thinking of you and can't wait until the day we have these miracles!!

At 39 weeks exactly my baby boy weighed 7.2 pounds (according to our U/S). My doctor estimated I would deliver in the next week (meaning this week) so she thinks he will be 7 in a half pounds at birth!

Last week at 36 weeks 4 days by baby boy was measuring 7 lbs.  I was dilated at 4cm and that was 4 days ago.  The baby should gain 1 oz per day according to the Doctor.

My OB is concerned my baby might weigh about 9lbs at this point, since she was 6lbs back in December, at my last ultrasound.

I go tomorrow for an ultrasound to check on her weight. This will determine if I can be induced or have a c-section scheduled.

My OBGYN said that the closer the u/s is to the due date the less accurate they are (in measuring the size).  So even though my doc said he thinks I'm having a big baby, I'll just have to wait and see.  My co-worker's SIL was induced a week early because they thought she was going to have a big baby and the baby turned out to be 6lbs 9oz.  My doctor also had said before he though I might have to have a c-section but that we would just see what happens during actual delivery.
