incompetent cervix

iv not had anysigns of this but iv had 3 m/c's and im such a worry wort! my partners cousen had it and deleverd her baby early and i read about it and i had a d&c because of a m/c and i read it can make it more likely to happen, i gess iv got this far (21 weeks) and im scared about loseing my baby! you hear so many horror storys and i get so scared!
i had my 20week scan baby was fine im having a girl she was the right size and we saw all her organs and bits and bobs i feel her moving all the time she is such a figet lol but sometimes i think she kiks downwards towards my cervics and i feel it i think its kicks but not sure. dose anyone no about the risk of loss this far in your pregancy?

You should be fine. I loss my baby last month due to IC. It still hurts as bad. But transvaginal ultrasound should show if your cervix is opening. If you are worried ask for a test to make sure. Signs of this include cramping, bleeding, pressure in your lower abdomen and a few more. I don't think this will happen to you but test if you think so. Congrats. Good Luck. I would be around 25 weeks today.

i lost my baby boy one week ago today due to IC and i had NO symptoms. it was one week after my PERFECT anatomy scan! there was absolutely nothing that even made them THINK anything was wrong, everything was perfect with me and my little Aidyn!!! i went into the ER because i was having contractions. when i got there and they checked me, they found my cervix was funneling, opening from the inside! by the time we discovered it, the amniotic sac was in my cervix. there was nothing we could do at that point. GET CHECKED, MAKE THEM CHECK YOU IF YOU SUSPECT!!!!!!! im sitting her DYING because there was nothing wrong with my baby. he was moving and kicking up until i delivered him. and that wasnt anything i could stop either!! a contraction broke my water and within a minute he was here. i would give ANYTHING right now to have him back inside my tummy, ANYTHING!!

im so sorry that happend i no what its like to miscarry but iv only had early m/cs i dont no that i could face losing my baby now ill book a drs oppionment x

i had 2 d and c's for MC's and my doctor did not tell me anything about that increasing my chances of an imcomp. cervix.  i would not worry.  you are far along now.  try to enjoy it now while we all still feel ok because in about 10 more weeks, we are all going to be crying.
