+ OPK 2 days early but no temp rise???

I am kind of confused. I usually always get a + opk on cd 16 or 17 but this time around I got a + on cd 14 (yesterday). Today when I took my temp, it was still low and it usually always rises substantially after I ovulate. I tested with the opk again and got a total negative. I'm just wondering did I really O that early? and if I did why didn't I see a rise in temps? Also, when you test with the opk, will you get a + until you ovulate? or just a certain time before you ovulate? I just had an hsg on Tuesday, would that have anything to do with me o'ing early? We bd'ed the day b/4 I fot the + opk and then yesterday too. Do you girls think I covered it? I suppose we should again until I get a temp rise. Sorry so long, I just have no idea what is going on with me now. Just when I thought I knew when I would ovulate, things go and change...

Just because you get a pos opk, doesn't alway mean you will o. It could have been a fluke or a random surge. It is also possible that you have a cyst. Cysts can tell the body it is about to o, triggering an Lh surge. Even though it is not the real deal. Until you get a clear thermal shift, I wouldn't stop bding. Good luck!

Thanks Tina, my temp did rise significantly this morning so if it stays up for the next few days then I guess I will know I ovulated early. I just had an hsg last Tuesday and an u/s the week b/4. They said everything was normal so I don't think I could have a cyst. I was just wondering if since I ovulated early would my luteal phase still be the same or would it change as well. I suppose I will have to wait until this cycle is over.
