low hgc

Is a HGC of 17 low. The egg retrieval was on Friday and the following Wednesday they were implanted. Theblood  test was  today which would be 9 days after implantation. Another test will be done on  Monday.

my uderstanding of Hgc is that anything above 5 is a BFP just that the number should double each day. each doctor reads the measurment differently also. so on monday it should be much higher. hope this helps. good luck and SSBD to you.

i got a BFP this past wednesday and had an hcg of 13 (12dpo) and then friday it was 22 (14dpo) and i go in on this coming wednesday for another hcg.... i'm worried to but like my OB nurse told me, "you have to start somewhere" and "most women wouldn't even know they are pregnant yet so it's ok to be excited "  SSBD!!

Thanks...they did say anything over 5 is positive but reading on here it seems that most reading are a lot higher. Could they have been later in the pregnancy to have them higher?

High numbers are certainly comforting in the beginning but the only real factor is your number doubling every 2-3 days. Regardless of where you start, your HCG level should at least double every 48-72 hours to indicate a viable pregnancy. By happy with your 17 and pray for 34+ in two days. That's what matters!
