13 weeks later-is it normal....

I had a miscarriage on November 10, 2006. Still after all this time I have to go for bloodtests b/c my HCG levels aren't in the negatives yet.  They're coming down, but is it normal for it to take this long?

I had a d&c and mine came down quick from high #'s at 12 wks. I have read some cases where they take a long time, but that still seems long to me. What does dr say?

I am having the exact same issue as you. I was 10 weeks along and had a d&c on Nov. 6. I just had my levels tested on Monday and was told they were 87. My dr. told me they were at 800 in Dec so she isn't concerned as they are still declining....just way too slowly for my liking.
I called the clinic where I had my d&c today to make sure I shouldn't be worried about left over tissue and she said that my level would be much higher if there was anything remaining and that I'd have cramping and bleeding still also.
As hard as it is I've come to the conclusion that I just have to be patient. Sometimes it just seems too unfair...the m/c was hard enough but I never thought it could possible drag on for this long.
