13DPO is it normal to have a neg HPT

Hey,  I am wandering if I may still be pregnant if I tested 13DPO and got a neg. if I might still be pregnant.  I would think the HCG level would detect something by now.  I have missed my period by 1 day is all, but I am usually right on a 26 day cycle.  I might just be messing with my own head, but I guess I am still hopeful that I will get a positive.  I am doing so little in the house work because I am scared I will start my period if I bend over to fast.  Gosh, I know it is silly, but I want to be pregnant so bad that I am doing and saying stupid things.  Anyone else?  When do you think I should test again if I don't get my period?  I can't take this craziness!

I had not had any spotting before AF in past or this time.  I did get my period on day 28, so unfortunetly this was not my month. I am 38 years old and have not had any proceedures for the scared tubes, I have no insurance since I own my own business and just recently opened in April of 2006.  So since then I have no insurance to have anything additional done to conceive.  I have since decided to leave this in Gods hands.  I can not change what will be.  I guess I look at it that if god blesses me than it was meant to be, if not, there is a reason for his madness and I will have to live with that.  I plan to just let things go as they may this cycle.  My husband and I will give it our all and hopefully bring a beautiful life into this world.  I am no longer going to continue on this site, I feel that I am driving myself crazy with it, Reading things into what I am feeling.  I am going to do my best to just let things be the way they are and enjoy making love with my husband and not be so serious about it.  What will be will be....  Thank you to everyone for the support this month.

hi there..im with you i was 13dpo when u posted too. um, i dont have thyroid issues (yet) but my mother does, and she did 32 years ago when she had me. she never had a period so i was a true miracle in those days i think....

have u had any spotting or anything in these 2 days? do u normally spot before AF arrives? how long are your cycles?

just curious, i am sure not any help but i am right here with you!

do u think that women who have a 30+ day cycle will get a BFP later than the women who have BFP's at 8 or 9 dpo? i was wondering if women who have say 24 days cycles, get them faster than women who dont. i am sooooo confused!

and to think years ago, i prayed NOT to be pregnant. what a dummy i was then.

sending u babydust and blessings!!

I had my thyroid removed a few years ago so I take hormone replacement pills for that everyday.  I did use an OPK and my surge was on the 11th and since I feel my ovulation, I know I ovulated on the 12-13th.  (I usually feel it for 24 hours)Husband and I TTC starting the 6th - 13th everyday.  The issue I have is that I have scared tubes.  Doctors tell me that it may be difficult to concieve.  9 years ago however, I gave birth to a healthy little boy.  This was also after I knew I had scared tubes, so I know it can happen, or he might just be my miracle baby.  Well, I know he is!  I am hoping for another chance for that miracle though.  Does anyone else have Thyroid issues or scared tubes.  Any stories or comments would be helpful.  Thanks

Thanks everyone for your thoughts.  I am still without AF now 2 days late for AF.  I am going to give it until Sunday or Monday before I test again.  I just really can't read my body.  I think it is playing tricks on me.  I will keep you posted.  Please do the same on your awaiting positives.

Well to give you a bit of hope HPT wouldn't show positive until I was 8 weeks pg.....so maybe you could be.  I am due for AF today and so far I don't have any spotting but I do have some light cramping.  But I'm hoping from bad food.  Because I have had nausea and slightly sensitive bb's  and quite a bit of exhaustion.  So I have fingers toes and everything else crossed that AF doesn't show up.  So good luck to you and sticky Baby dust to all.

I don't want to 'burst' your bubble by any means, but if I took that test one day late for af....and the result was negative, I would not be pregnant.  I have always experienced 100% accuracy with HPT's, even when testing early.  I am currently beginning my 4th pregnancy....and I have taken HUNDREDS of tests.

Do the housework, your period will come if you are not pregnant, and it will not come if you are pregnant.  I wish you the best, but keep an eye out for reality in the mean time, so that you don't get crushed...  I understand how you feel, I took me 2 years to get pg with my first.  Your not alone.

I think you could be pregnant even with a BFN this AM.  If you are only 13DPO you probably should wait until Saturday.  Most women get AF 14DPO - even on a 26d cycle, you would most likely ovulate around d12 and have a 14 day luteal phase.  Don't lose hope - it ain't over til it's over!

Are you taking any meds?  Was your ovulation induced?  Do you use OPKs or BBTs?

if you took the test today with fmu, i would wait until saturday morning to test again.(who am i kidding :) and there is always a possibility you can still be pregnant if af has not shown her ugly face. sometimes it is just too early to detect the hcg in your urine. baby dust to you and God Bless!!
