29 day cycle, ovulated day 21/22, when would pregnancy test be positive if missed period?

I have a 29day cycle, urine test says i ovulated day 21/22, period due tomorrow, couldnt wait so did preg test tonight- neg. If period dosnt come... when could i expect a test to show positive, seen as i ovulated so late? been doing hcg testing last two months- both ovulate around day 20-22.
I a getting pre-period mild discomfort, but read this can happen even if concieve (conceive)'d??

If you're cycle is 29 days and you're not ovulating  until day 20-22, then your luteal phase is too short. Most luteal phases should be at least 10 days long. Have you talked to your doc about this?

no i havent, only been ttc for 2months, my hcg def peeks somewhere between 20-22 days. if i did ovulate then, can a fertilised egg be washed away by a period then as not had time to implant?
i did read that research is showing women can ovulate as soon as 7days prior to period.... but they didnt say if these women have problems

I have a short luteal phase too (9 - 10 days before my first m/c, 7 days after). However I managed to get pregnant again even with a 7 day LP, so it's definitely possible. However the odds of successful implantation are much lower. Unfortunately that pregnancy ended in m/c as well.

I'd suggest going to see a reproductive endocrinologist to get your hormone levels checked. Good luck!

Im not sure were you are but im in the uk & gp's arnt too keen on referring for tests unless youve been trying for a good year :(
However I may beg for a blood ovulation test if im not pregnant in a month or so, see what my next cycles like and when I ovulate.
We stopped using contraception & just said we'll see what happens.... but already, month 2 im worrying, the wait to see if your period comes is awful!
