Hi girls! I started a 2WW post a couple of months back, but decided to create a new one for all of us currently suffering from the "looong 2 week wait" syndrome! I'm 4 dpo today and are not really experiencing any symptoms yet, but of course it is still early :-)
Nevaeh and BabyBlue, I know the two of you are about 3 dpiui today. Anyone else out there?
surge??). Then I started seconding guessing myself - thinking was the second line actually darker than the reference line? And especially as most people say taking Clomid makes you ovulate later. So, I am still doing my OPK till about CD18 (just to be on the safe
hi all ,
how are you heather hope doing well
i will join you ladies i assume i am around 7 dpo i dont use OPK anymore my cycle is exactly 32 days so i bd b'ween days 14-18 i dont have any symptoms either good luck to all of us
Today is my 4DPIUI. I do not have any symtoms (symptoms) except I feel tired and dizzy more than usual. I think it's might be the medicine that I am taking right now (Prometrium 100mg twice a day). I will go see my dr on march 24th for pregnancy test if AF not showing by then.
Hi Heather, I am 4 dpo but not feeling very positive. dh had another s/a done today and we are hoping for a big change, if not I guess IUI would be the next step. How are you? Are you trying anything different? Sorry I was gone for a while but I just needed to take some time not obsessing about TTC, now I'm back and ready to go!
I am also 4dpiui. I didn't feel crampy and bloated with this IUI as I did with the past ones so that makes me a little nervous. However, I'm really sick right now with a cold/flu so who knows what's in store for me. I leave in a couple days for vacation so I won't be able to keep up with everyone's results but when I get back I hope you all have BFPs. AF should be arriving while I'm still in California so I'll give you my update when I get back.
SSBD!
Hi girls! Glad to see that there are so many of us in the same boat right now :-)
kazah: Some women ovulate the same day as the LH surge, but most women ovulate the day after, so I would start counting dpo two days after you got your surge (the day after would be ovulation day, and the following day would be 1dpo). Best of luck! Hope clomid works for you!
sibs: Good to hear from you!!! Looks like you're already in the 1WW :-) Yay!!!
BabyBlue and nevaeh: I hope the IUIs worked for you this month! Oh, and nevaeh, have a great trip to California!
I'm so glad you're back! We've missed you :-) I might actually be heading for IUI soon too...or even IVF. Not really sure, since we did get pregnant on our own without any meds both times! But I went and saw my RE a couple of weeks ago (it's been a year since last time I saw her), and she suggested the next step for me would be injectibles and either IUI or IVF. However, since we don't have any fertility coverage, and the IUIs would cost a minimum of $3,500 per try and IVF at least $10,000, we decided to try for a few more months on our own before making a decision.
I'll cross my fingers that your DH's SA has improved! When will you get the results?
Hi ladies! I'm 8dpo and waiting to test. I might try testing on Thurs (I'll be 10dpo then) but I don't know if that will be too early! I'm not feeling much except I've had extremely sore bb's the last couple days. I normally get that before af arrives but it feels very different. I also felt crampy today, and normally I don't get any kind of cramping until af actually gets here. Who knows, trying not to drive myself crazy and keep myself busy with other things!! Good luck to you all!!!
heather5-yeah that's very true. that's without the cost of injectibles and u/s. i haven't done the injectibles yet but i do know that it's rather expensive for that.
dh goes back to the dr on fri and we should know more then. The questions is and I know the answer...we should probably spend the money & time to see the RE again but everytime we go we both have to miss a day of work b/c it's 4 almost 5 hrs away and ins doesn't pay for it, or should we go to a Dr down here who does IUI's. My current Dr does not do them & I called today to make an appt w/ her to get her imput & she can't see me until 05/02! The clock is ticking way too loud right now to wait that long! I could go back to the Dr that made me mad & he would do an IUI for about $300 and he would do it ASAP. ....I don't know what to do
nwmom: That sounds very promising. I've been pregnant twice (both unfortunately ended in a miscarriage), and both times I had very sore BBs and mild cramping before my expected AF date. I know some women on here has gotten a positive test as early as 9 dpo, but I think most have to wait until 12 dpo or longer, so don't give up if you get a negative at 10 dpo :-)
islandmama: That's a tough one. Four or five hours away would make things a bit more difficult. Do you think your RE would let you do the monitoring and everything there and refer you to the local place just for the IUI? Although, I guess that would still mean you would have to make the long drive a few times per cycle. Hmmm!
Well, I just got back from my regular obgyn. I went to ask him what he thought of the recommendations from the RE. I'm mostly concerned with the fact that she didn't want to do any further tests (to see if there's a reason for my miscarriages) and wanted me to move straight to injectibles. I'm just worried of paying lots and lots of money out of pocket, and then IF I get pregnant, having another miscarriage. He understood my concerns and gave me a referral to another fertility specialist, so I can get a second opinion. They might say the same thing, but at least then I would feel more comfortable moving forward. So, I'll probably call them sometime this week and see if I can get an appointment.
Until then, however, I'm still hoping for this cycle!!! SSBD to everyone!
Thanks, I'm hoping this is my month, but if it's not I'll keep on trying. I had 3 m/c's last year and had surgery in Dec to fix a septate uterus so I'm hoping that things will work out this time. They couldn't guarantee that the septate uterus was the reason for the m/c's but they thought it probably was. I know if I do get my BFP I'm going to be a nervous wreck for the 1st trimester at least. I hope you can get some good advice at your 2nd opinion, although hopefully you won't need it if you get your BFP this cycle!!! Good luck and keep us posted!
Yes, my DH has had a SA (normal), and I have had ultrasound monitoring (the follicle always looked good), hormone blood tests (normal) and an HSG (normal - no blockages). I also know that I have Factor V, so I will need to be on low-dose heparin when I get pregnant again and a heartbeat is detected. I just know that there are other tests, like antibody tests and chromosome tests...but we'll see what the new RE says.
First pregnancy, no heartbeat at first ultrasound (8.5 weeks). Second pregnancy, heartbeat detected at 5 weeks, 4 days, but miscarried that same night :-( I think I will ask to start heparin right away next time I get pregnant, though, even though the theory is that Factor V is only an issue later on in pregnancy.
im 11dpo, dont have any symptoms and bded two days before ovulation. i dont know if it means anything but yesterday i used an opt, i dont have any hpts, and the test line was almost as dark as control line, today they are the same colour??? it probably doesnt mean anything...
Sam, I just sent you a pm a little while ago, but I think that could be a good sign! I've heard that LH is structurally very similar to HCG (that's why they use HCG triggers to start ovulation sometimes instead of waiting for the natural LH surge), and I've also heard that OPKs can turn positive if you're pregnant! I'm crossing fingers and toes for you!
ladies, do you think 8-9 dpo is too early to have symptoms cause i dont have none and dont feel hopeful AGAIN this month is it possible to get a BFP without symptoms thanks
It is absolutely possible to get pregnant without having any early symptoms :-) For many women, they won't notice a thing until well after they get a positive test, so don't give up, sibs! I'm sending lots of SSBD your way!
Some definite cramping for the last couple days, especially today. Like I said earlier, I never get cramping this early (9dpo) so this wait is driving me insane!! I may test tomorrow at the earliest. Can't wait.....
heather,
you are such a lovely person you are one of those people that you instantly like even if you have not met face to face you are so sincere, caring and understanding you are always offering hope and advice to everyone on this forum i sent a similar post to SueGre as you are both truly amazing ladies who offer hope to others even through your trying times you are both like Guardian angels upon us all on this forum you both deserve the best and and god DOES see and will reward all in good time sorry i rambled on oh and just a quick note i was reading one of your posts it is GREAT that all your tests are normal which is a relief and 1 less thing to worry about if you are not content with the current RE seek another opinion IT WILL HAPPEN SSBD heather
My bb's have been really sore, not so much the whole bb but my nipples. Usually it's my whole bb that gets sore before af comes. I've also had some lower back pain and some cramping for the last couple of days off and on. Wondering if it would be a waste of a test to test tomorrow morning (11 dpo, I think)......
Well, you've had the cramping for a few days now, so even though they say to wait until 14 dpo, in your case, it might work tomorrow...just make sure you use an "early-response" type test.
Please let us know what happens! I'm crossing my fingers for a BFP!!!
Hi Anya! I didn't do an IUI, but I'm 7 dpo today. I actually wrote you a message on your clomid post earlier, but I wouldn't worry about not having any symptoms yet. Maybe in a week or so :-)
I totally agree, though...time is ticking by soooo slowly in the 2WW! I wish I could fast-forward a couple of weeks (or in my case about one week), without losing any time!
Oh well, at least we're all in the same boat :-) Keep us posted!
Hi ladies! Just though I'd check in and see how everyone's doing.
I'm now 8 dpo and my BBs are a little more tender today, but nothing major. The two times I got pregnant, I had very sore BBs and mild cramping a few days before AF was due...so I'm kinda hoping for some of those symptoms after the weekend :-)
Hi ladies! I tested this morning and got a bfn. Hope I'm not out of the game just yet! I think I'm 11 dpo but not 100%. I guess I could try again in another day or 2. I've had a horrible headache and super sore bb's today. Hmmm......
i'm out AGAIN af came this morning upset of course but dont get as much upset as i use to im just more concerned as to why it is not happening this was my 12 month ttc well i am seeing my fertility specialist tomorrow to get results back for a bunch of blood work she ordered lets see what she recommends next goodluck to the rest of you ladies heather5 keep me updated
Oh no, sibs...I'm so sorry! I hope your appointment tomorrow will give you some answers and bring you new hope for the next cycle! Please let us know how it goes.
I'm 11 dpo today, and I'm not feeling too optimistic either. I still only have somewhat tender breasts...but no other symptoms. I might test tomorrow morning, and then if it's negative, set up an appointment with the new RE for a second opinon (about the next step for us). I'll definitely keep you posted!
Take care, sibs, and tell that annoying Aunt Flow not to come visit you again for at least nine months!!!
thanks heather i hope she takes a good long vacation ( 9 months) from you and hope it doesnt show up this cycle ive got my fingers crossed for you take care keep you updated you do as well
Thank, sibs! Looks like I'll be calling the new RE today...I just got a negative HPT at 12 dpo. I know it's still early, but I could always cancel the appointment again should something change :-)
hi heather hope af hasnt showed up
i saw the fertility specialist yesterday blood results are normal so i am scheduled for a HSG next thursday and i will be taking in dh sample for analysis on tuesday we can just collect it at home apparently and take it be tested within 1 hr of collection and if all that is normal then she recommended we try again for a few months on our own
keep me updated god i hope i see your BFP post up within few days
Glad to hear things are moving forward, sibs! I hope your DH passes the SA with flying colors and that your HSG shows that everything is normal!
I wish I could have written a happy BFP post, but I got another BFN today at 14 dpo :-( So it looks like I'll be starting a new cycle soon too. I did call the new RE, though, but he couldn't see me until mid-April, so I guess I'm on my own for at least one more cycle.
Take care, sibs, and keep me posted how things go next week!
