2dpt Looking for 2ww buddies

Hi We are on our 2nd cycle, our first was a BCP and I found such support here. I needed a break from everything, we took a vacation and then started again. Monday they transferred 4 -3 day embryos. I have seen many groups here supporting each other through he dreaded 2WW. I am a week behind the last big group that posted, so am hoping there are some others out there as well. Is there any one else out there that would like to wait it out together?

Mollie- I have posted everywhere for you, I am so happy for you and DH and can NOT wait to hear how you will tell your news...Finallly!! Congratulations!

Annaby- Welcome the more the merrier!!! Not too long now, I am sending losts of SSBD your way. I had cramping that went away and then came back fairly strong 9 days post transfer and spotting 10 days post transfer so hang in there.

Zoe- You know I am still sending BD your way for next time and I hope you keep my email and keep me posted on your progress

Nevaeh- Welcome the more the merrier. I hope all goes well for you when you test. I think you will find tremendous support here, I know I have. We did AI for 2 cylces and then on to IVF. We have done 3 cycles total and have a DD (4yo in April) and are pregnant again, so there is hope.

Rachel-Thaks for the sweet words

I got my BFP today and am pregnant HCG 67.7 at 11 days post transfer!!!! :-)

Hello Ladies!

Thank you for your kind welcome! Not long to go now!! I'm really praying for BFPs for you tomorrow!

Mollie - that's brilliant news, more BFPs!!! Yay!!! I think hcg numbers vary quite a bit for each person, my clinic told me they were looking for more than 75 when I tested at 15dpo, but I've heard of some people with low numbers carrying on to have a healthy baby so I don't think you can tell too much. They say that a good sign everything is going well is if the number doubles every 48-72 hours. I hope you get a nice high number!! I'm 5weeks and 1 day today :) DH and I are both over the moon! We have been ttc for over 3 years and this was our second cycle of ivf so we are thrilled that it has all been worthwhile!

Lisa, Zoe and Annaby - Mild cramping is a good sign! Could be implantation! I had mild cramping  too about 4 days after transfer.

Good luck everyone, I can't wait to hear how you get on!!

Sending you loads of SSBD xxx

love Rachel xx

Everyone is different. I felt some minor cramping/lower back pain awhile ago, but nothing now. I didn't have any spotting. My most noticable post-transfer feeling, has been night sweats, for the past 5 nights. I know a lot of women have cramping though, so if you do, I would think that's a good thing.

I'm also in my 2WW. I had my IUI last week Tuesday and Wednesday so i'm just waiting.
This is my 5th IUI and I have a feeling this one hasn't worked either. I am not looking forward to doing IVF. It's just too expensive and my insurance doesn't cover.

Sorry for the many posts, I was just wondering if you guys have felt anything post transfer?  I have been feeling some mild cramps but the nurse said that is because of the progesterone.  Did you guys feel the same?  Did you guys see spotting?

Thanks you guys for your support!!  I feel better already!! :)  This is my first IVF treatment and they are testing me 10 days after the transfer.  They transferred 2.  I am sooo unbelievably scared but I am going to be positive!! :)  My DH wants me to try a HPT but I want to wait until Sunday.  I am soooo anxious and nervous, I might just camp out at the RE office Saturday night so that I can be the first one online.  :P

I just saw you posted a new question lisa, so this may be a little redundant.

welcome welcome annaby!! You are sooo not butting in. This is the most intense thing I have ever been through I'm sure for you too, and it helps to go through it with someone who is also. Wow so they are going to test you 10 days post transfer. How many did they transfer?? Is this your first IVF? I was sooo sooo scared of the disappointment too, so I went out and bought a HPT, I figured I could somewhat prepare myself for a let down. Thankfully I am optimistic about tomorrow because of the HPT.  take care everyone and anxious to hear from you all in the days to come.

secretbaby: I am just soooo happy for you and your husband. Can't wait to hear what your numbers are!  I'm doing okay, I have been crying for the past 2 days. I think it's because I'm so nervous about the test tomorrow, and the fact that I don't really have any symptoms... and now the time is gone for them to appear. Lisa/jastinker was so sweet, when I told her I was crying a lot, she said "that's a symtpom!" I hope it is! I changed my blood test fm 1:30 to 9am. My husband has agreed to answer the phone when they call with the results. I just can't do it.

annaby: saw your post on the other thread and replied there. Hang in there!

I hope you dont mind me butting in either.  I had my transfer done on the 8th.  I am supposed to go in for the pg test on Sunday.  I have never been more nervous and scared.  Part of me doesnt even want to go in because I couldnt take the disappointment if it didnt work.

I wish you all the best of luck!!  This chat group is so great, it makes me feel like I am not alone.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!!!!
Welcome Rachel!!! Your news is sooo exciting, tomorrow at this time I'll be at the clinic getting my blood drawn, I'll be sure to get on the computer either way. What number should I be looking for when I get the HCG results? How far along are you?? I bet your DH is sooo excited.
Lisa ~ I remember with my DD pregnancy that I had cramping almost like a squeezing, it could be your uterus is just making room for the babe!! I remember thinking I was getting my AF but never did. I'm saying a prayer for you right now.

As for the test I used, at first I used the ept plus sign or neg sign, where the line was slightly getting darker, then I said to heck with it and got one that says Pregnant or Not Pregnant EPT brand, the lines can be so inconclusive. There is no mistaking the big PREGNANT written right on the stick, I'm soooo excited to go in tomorrow. My DH is so relieved. I still want the confirmation from the office, but am very happy. I even took a picture of the positive result. It is killing me to not tell my family, we had a big gathering last night and I actually kept my lips sealed. My sis wants to go wedding dress shopping on Sunday, I'm sure we will be looking at brides maid dresses also, Oh boy i'm gonna have to tell her soon.
Zoe~ it is soooo goood to hear from you.  Are you going in right away in the morning?? I have to work so I will just run down to the clinic when I'm on break (they said they would page me with the results). Ironic it is in the same biulding where I work. I'm saying a prayer we all get BFP results tomorrow. It feels good to finally say tomorrow. You guys are the best. I have book called Daily wisdom for mothers, and in it the author stresses how we should "give it to God" (that is anything out of our control). God has a plan for all of us. Have a great day!!!!

Hello ladies,

I hope you don't mind me butting in ... I just wanted to wish you ladies lots of luck for your tests!

Mollie - the same thing happened to me with the hpt getting darker before my blood test which turned out to be positive. I know what you mean, even though you have the positive hpt you still don't quite believe it until you get the official result.

Praying for some great HCG numbers for all of you!!

love

Mollie,

This is the BEST news ever, any s/s yet??? You make it very tempting to take a test, which one did you use?  I stayed home from work today, started cramping last night and was supposed to drive 140 miles for a 4 hour meeting. I just thought it would be better to lie low and rest. It is so exciting that the line is getting darker!!!!! How is DH??

Here is lots of SS ooey gooey sparkly baby dust to us all---BFP all around!!!!!

You have to let me know what you see on the HPT on Wed and Thurs. I  am so happy and excited for you, I feel like Zoe, you and I will all have BFP!!!  They called last night and are goign to let me test frist thing Friday morning, I can't wait. I still don't know about the HPT yet. I just worry if I get a false neg will it shatter me or not and I have been so freakishly positive this cycle.

Yes working L&D for so long makes things very difficult, I just put it out of my mind and act as though I know nothing.

These next 3 days will fly by!

Well that is good news that they will test you on Friday or Sat but have to wait till Monday UGGGG!! thanks for the info on HCG?? I wasn't sure when it is gone. You made my day :) I'm going to take another test on Wed, and Thurs just to see if they keep getting darker or not.   That is sooo coool about being an instructor. My mom also is a nurse, and my little sis graduates in May in nursing funny how it runs in families, she just got engaged, and can you believe they set a date for Oct25, if all goes well with this IVF I'd be due on Oct 23.  She knows nothing about us doing IVF, so I hope she isn't dissappointed when she finds out I'll be huge or absent from the wedding. She already asked me to stand up for her. I'm hoping I can just recruit my inlaws to come too and watch the baby or babies.  I hate to get my hopes soooo high but being positive has to be better for my uterus and all the terrible things that go on.   We know way too much working where we doo.. don't you agree.  We have had some nightmare cases involving moms and c-secs, bleeding out and getting hysts after baby dies. terrible.I can't let myself think of those thoughts.  I'm so anxious for you!! You must get on the computer as soon as you hear!!! I'll be here for you!!! My DD asked God for a baby sis last night, I feel like she knows something I don't. I'll keep praying for us. Take care. I'm sooo soo happy we found each other to share in the adventure. It truely is a rollercoaster.

I went to the RE today for blood work, hormone levels only. Thye said to eother come in on Saturday or Friday. Saturday will be 12 days from transfer, but then I will have to wait unitl Monday ofr results. I asked about HPT, they said alwyas a risk for a false Neg, but if it POs it will stay pos! SO wooo whooo for you!!!!!! When are you goign to use the second one, V-day maybe? The HCG is supposed to be out of the system within 3-5 days if I remember correctly. This is so amazing!! I am thinking such haapy baby twin thoughts for you right now.

On a completely differnt note, I have been a nurse for 14 years in OB and Community Health. I worked L&D for around 9 years. Ironic huh? It got to be too diffiuclt to be around all those babies, especially the unplanned unwanted ones, when we went through our first battle with infertility. Now I teach at a university and I so enjoy it. My mom was a nurse to, so it is in our blood. :-)

I will let you know if an dwhen I hear anything form the docs office today. Keep me posted on your next HPT. Are you having any S/S?
