19 May I was scanned and 2-3 folicles were large (21mm), we had the procedure on 21 May..(IUI) now I am waiting with little ache on both sides and face
breaking out a little plus little tender in the upper region. Should I test early (how early?) and chances of multiples? When do you know for certain?
me 37 all is good took clomid for increased chances
dh 39 some motility issues though numbers improving since 2009
trying for 12 month last IUI 6 June 2010 resulted in MC at week 5.
My doctor said that the odds of twins when doing IUI with clomid is 1 in 10. I did an IUI on May 6 and I took a hpt 14 days later and it was negative. I tested again 3 days later and got a positive. I would recommend waiting at least 14 days and even then you could still get a false negative like I did. Some women test even sooner, but the sooner you test the more likely you are of getting a false negative which can be just depressing. If you did a triger shot, you need to wait at least 14 days after the trigger shot to test or you could get a false positive. As for pregnancy symptoms, I had tons of them like tender breats, oily skin, stomach aches in the morning, fatigue, but I did not want to read too much into them because it is hard to tell what is pregnancy signs and what are side effects of the fertility meds.
!! Sounds like uping the meds really helped. Good luck with your IUI. I am sending tons of sticky baby dust your way! I hope this is your lucky cycle!!!
Hello, I was reading thru this forum and thought I might add my experience. I had my 2nd IUI on 4/24 and 4/25 (my doctor does back to backs at 12 hrs and 36 hrs post trigger shot). I am 40 and DH is 38. Other than age, everything looked good on all tests.
At the time of trigger I had 1 follicle
We were fortunate enough to get pregnant after the first IUI (plus I took Femara orally but no injectible drugs) and I took the HPT at 14 days past IUI and got a strong positive. But like some of the others on here have said, with the trigger, that may be too soon for you. Good luck!
. When they checked my follicles though, it was only day 12 and I didn't ovulate until day 19. On day 12, they were only measuring between 12 - 14 mm so I was worried none would be big enough. However, ovulating late that month was a good thing! I hope you get one beautiful baby (or more if that's your desire)!!! Take care!
