3 miscarriages in a row!

having had a healthy boy 18 months ago my husband and i decided to try for another baby this year, my only other pregnancy was my healthy boy, only in january this year at 4weeks3days i miscarried our first baby in april i miscarried at 6 weeks and3 days and my 3rd miscarriage which is now experiencing some problems was at the begining of this month at approx 6weeksand 4 days, my son was delivered by emergency section could something have happened in between to cause a problem with my fertility.?
any thoughts?

I'm new here, but I just wanted to tell you how sorry I am to hear of your mcs.  I had a mc when my daughter was 18 months as well, and have been unable to get pg since - almost a year.  I too had a c-section and wonder if that could have had anything to do with it - both the mc and subsequent inability to conceive.  Doctors have told me the c-section should have nothing to do with either.  Best of luck to you, you're in my thoughts....

I have also had 3 m/c in a row.  I don't think the C-section would cause that, but since you've had 3 miscarriages (and all this year), I would definitely see a specialist right away.

My consecutive miscarriages were most likely due to my age -- they were at 38, 39 and most recently in February 2008 at age 40.  In my case its likely poor quality eggs, but its not known for sure.  In your case they may be able to identify an exact problem.  It's possible that getting pregnant so soon after each miscarriage was a factor, although I don't think there are any conclusive studies on that.

I'm so sorry for your losses and hope all goes better in the future.
