50dpo clomid & neg blood test

I'm on cd 73, 50dpo. Last period was May 27th, used clomid 50mg for 6 months (unmonitored - cause I have a bad OB - for long cycles), that was my final month. On clomid my cycles were roughly 29-35 days and after I ovulated (used ovulation tests) about 14-18 days later I'd have my AF like clockwork. I got + opks for two days in the middle of June and we did BD a lot (as you can see in my chart)

I keep getting neg preg tests. I finally had a blood test done on July 20th, it was neg.. I spotted on July 14,15,16,17...basically a dot of brown here and there each day or stringy brown stuff. That was it. I never spot, except the first dose of Clomid. And while normally I do have long cycles, there has only been one 70 day cycle in like 5yrs cause I've been keeping track.

So, now here I am really really late I haven't tested since I did the blood test, because those get expensive. My OB is awful and did nothing for me refering me to an infertility specialist because my urine test was neg, and I need to find a new one so thats sorta out for now. My boobs have started hurting, and I've gained weight, but the weight can be from Clomid cause I did gain a lot with it.

I did recently have blood work done when I had the blood test done. Here are those results (I don't know what they mean, nobody has told me anything yet)

DEHYDROEPIANDROSTERONE (DHEA), UNCONJUGATED, SERUM = Result = 288 Units= ng/dl

HCG QUALITATIVE, SERUM. = Negative

THYROID STIMULATING HORMONE (TSH) = Result =1.24 Ref. Range= 0.50-6.00 Units= UIU/ML

LUTEINIZING HORMONE (LH) = Result= 12.4 Units= MIU/ML.

FOLLICLE-STIMULATING HORMONE (FSH). Result= 8.8 Units= MIU/ML

TESTOSTERONE, TOTAL. Result= 106 Units= NG/DL

What are my chances for being pregnant? My doctor didn't seem concerned at all about my late period. Just said I probably didn't ovulate when I'm 95% sure I did..I think I caught the surge going up and down, as you can see on my chart.

I'm now curious if I did ovulate late even though I got 3 +OPK's and perhaps those spotting days were implantation bleeding..

Of the test results you posted, the HCG QUALITATIVE SERUM is the one that would tell you if you are pregnant. By 50 dpo it would be a number in the thousands if you were pregnant. The blood pregnancy test is very accurate, so it would not give a false negative result. Sorry, I know how upsetting it is to go through the clomid and still get BFN.

It sounds like you really need to find a new doctor, or pressure your doctor to refer you to a fertility specialist. There are doctors out there who will monitor your cycles closely and whose number one goal is to help you get pregnant. It does not sound like your current doctor is like that at all. I can't believe there are so many doctors out there who prescribe clomid for 6 or 12 months with no monitoring. The clomid could be causing a thin lining or cysts that can actually make it harder to get pg, and they are just not checking on that at all if they are not monitoring. More than that, I can't believe your doctor would let you cycle go for 73 days on the clomid. I don't think a specialist would ever do that. If you are actively trying to get pregnant, the last thing you want to do is delay your next chance to get pg by letting a cycle when you did not get pg drag on for too long. Best of luck to you. I hope you can get a referreal to a specialist who will monitor your cycles better.

I was referred to a fertility specialist for no reason other then the clomid didn't work for me. She didn't even bother to monitor me while I was on it. I had to call her up every two months to get refills. All she wanted to know was if the OPKs were coming out positive. It was only given to me because she assumed I had PCOS and I had long cycles (on average about 43 days). I cannot afford the consult nevermind the appointments for that. They want it all out of pocket. The consult alone is $850.

I was told that the OB could have done tons of blood tests - the ones listed above were done a week later by my normal doc at my request since the OB did nothing. My OB doesn't seem to want anything to do with me now. I've only seen her ever twice. Now I need to find a new doctor, but waiting to have hubby get semen sample results, plus with no vehicle right now its rather difficult to get those done and run around siging release forms for a new doc. So it will have to wait till next month.

As for a false neg. blood test, I've read 100s of stories online by this point of that happening and the people were really pregnant. I'm not saying in my case thats true, I'm just curious if I O'd later with + OPKs earlier...

As for the  HCG test it was done on July 20th. What I'm more so curious about now is if that bleeding I had could have been implantation bleeding. I've never had anything like it before. I wouldn't have noticed it if I hadn't been looking for it. So what I'm more so curious about now, is if its possible the OPK would come out positive back in June, but have been wrong obviously since I have no period, but then much later in my cycle get pregnant because I really did ovulate later...

We BD'd July 4th - I had ovulation cramps that day...then I had the spotting on July 14-17. Then the HCG test on the 20th. So hypothetically, is there any chance that I could be pregnant and that was implantation bleeding? and it would have been too early for the blood test to show it at that point. I haven't tested since that blood test.

I don't really have any symptoms other then my breasts are now starting to hurt a little and cramps in my ovary area off and on, and of course the missing period.

I just dont get why I'd be THIS late on clomid when I was so fine for the other 5 cycles of it.
