pole, heart beat and yolk sac yesterday. My hcg #'s aren't rising too well. 1/14 - 790, 1/16 - 1698, 1/18 - 3301, 1/21 - 7989, 1/24 - 12601...............I'm so nervous. I'm on Lovenox and progesterone pills....Dr. isn't that worried.....I AM!!!! Has this happened to anyone before and turned out GOOD??? I don't think I can go through another miscarriage
In a bout 85% of normal pregnancies, the hCG level will double every 48 - 72 hours. As you get further along in pregnancy and the hCG level gets higher, the time it takes to double can increase to about every 96 hours.
Caution must be used in making too much of hCG numbers. A normal pregnancy may have low hCG levels and result in a perfectly healthy baby. The results from an ultrasound after 5 - 6 weeks gestation are much more accurate than using hCG numbers.
I think most doctors say the levels should double every 48-72 hours; and it can rise in stages, so sometimes, the rise is a bit slower, other times a bit faster. So your levels seem pretty good to me :-)
May I ask why you're on Lovenox? I have Factor V and need to start Lovenox when I get pregnant again, but my obgyn says not until a heartbeat
I had a d & c and the dr. said I possibly lost it due to a blot clotting problem....he referred me to a specialist. The specialist ran some blood work and came up with only one problem....the Factor V sounds familiar, but whatever it was, it was supposedly causing micro clots at the placenta/uterus interface. he claimed Lovenox would hopefully help me.....so....my first pregnancy with this dr. and taking Lovenox for the past 15 days.....Had second sonogram yesterday and saw fetal pole, yolk sac and heartbeat!!! I was so excited, I was on cloud nine all day...until two hours ago when I heard my latest #'s.....already spoke to dr. he said not to worry and go for blood test Mon.
He did tell me originally that the minute I think I;m pregnant I should start the Lovenox. I started it when my levels were only42!!! Good luck to you. thanks for your help.
totally agree w/ kelly...if you saw a sac, fetal pole and h/b that is what is most important. i had the higher hcg levels, but no fetal pole and h/b...that is where it isn't good. so keep positive and if your doctor is reassuring you...that is great!!!
good luck w/ your upcoming tests! :O)
I'm beginning to feel you are all right and I need to stay calm and just wait until Monday. Only time will tell. Unfortuneately, I've been through this waiting game twice before. I've never seen sooo much in my "sac" I'm happy....cautiously happy.
