8 weeks pregnant but Slow Heartbeat & No Growth of the Baby since 6 wks 3 days

Hi, Y'day (I was 7 wks & 6 days) my scan said the baby looks 6 weeks old and the heartbeat has come down to 80. I had a scan on 6 wks & 6 days the baby was the same size (ideal for that time) & had a heartbeat of 115. My preg hormone levels don't seem to increase as they should be. I conceived from IVF treatments so my dates are perfect (I wouldn't have got pregnant afterwards) & I am definitely 8 weeks pregnant Today. IS THERE ANY POSSIBILITY THE BABY WOULD PICK UP LATER & GROW UP TO BE HEALTHY? ANY ADVICE IS APPRECIATES. Thx

This is what happened to me in February. What most concerns me is that the hb dropped, plus 80 is slow at even 6 wks. Along with dating 2 wks behind with the HCG levels not rising appropriately, it does not sound good.

But there may still be some hope.  I would get another u/s to confirm, at this point I believe this is the best predictor along with the hb.

I'm sorry to be so honest here, I really feel bad telling you this.  But my experience was almost idential to yours and I was miscarrying. I so hope its not the case.

My prayers are with you!!!!! i'm praying that everything will be ok!!!! when is your next apt?? there is always a chance everything will be just fine, and like jo jo said grow grow grow! you can look at a website called misdiagnosed.com or something like that and it has lots and lots of success stories similar to yours! IVF procedure - 10 weeks and 1 day : I had my ultra sound 2 weeks ago and I'm pregnant with twins, both my babies had good heart beat 185bpm and 169bpm.  I had another u/s yesterday and the doc said only one baby is growing fine and that the other baby has stopped growing a week ago and there is no heart beat, but I'm hoping that the position of the baby was not fine and he could not get heart beat on his doppler.  Has anyone had a similar experience and had a successful pregnancy with both the babies.
