I got my period about 3 weeks after the laproscopy to remove my right tube due to the ectopic. I don't think I ovulated in between, but don't know for sure. After that my period/ovulation got right back on schedule though.

After my ectopic I had my period the next month exactly when it was due. My cycle is always on time, crazy huh. The doctor said not to expect for 4-6 weeks.

AF came about 27 or 28 days after surgery.  I don't know if I ovulated or not.  After AF came, I went to RE on cd3 and there was a residual follicle (cyst), so starting on cd7, I started taking a progesterone birthcontrol pill for 21 days, twice a day.  AF came a couple of days after last pill.  Went to RE and the cyst was gone.  That cycle I ovulated but the follicle was on the side without a tube.  The next cycle I ovulated on the side with a tube. We did IUI and got BFP.

I know that was a lot more info than you were asking, but I thought it might be helpful for you to know.  Good luck to you.

I had my surgery for an ectopic on 7/30 and I got my first real period 9/12. Four days after my surgery I started bleeding but I didn't count it as a period because I hadn't bled from the surgery and it wasn't normal it was more like bleeding after giving birth and it lasted a good week and a half. I hope this helps. Good luck to you.
