ANYONE HAS OR HAD BODY INTCHING DURING PREGNANCY - 2WEEKS

pls share with me what you did/took/is taking to stop this, am three weeks pregnant and has intching, my doc prescribed CETIRIZINE, but am scared to take this, can anyone confirm if its safe as am in first semister, pls help am worried.

i dont think your doc would prescribe this if it was dangerous to the baby, does he know your pregnant?

I got itching when I just got 4 weeks pg, and  my doc prescribed CETIRIZINE as well.  My boy is now 15 month old, happy and healthy and I'm still taking it daily other wise I could not stand for the horrible itching.

thanks ladies for this, yes my doc knows of pregnancy, infact, he did my IVF, have been trying for 5 years,  the reason i got scared was because i read from the FDA that cetirizine is a category B and tht means they cant assure 100% saftey, and am just 2 weeks in pregnancy, will be having ultrasound on the 3rd nov.

babywanted556 - does ur intching increase after a shower? mine does, its like a reaction after chloroquine. pinches here and there, did u concieve (conceive) thru ivf? if yes, how long did u wait to have sex again, sorry to ask this, it will be of much help to me.

I conceive thru ivf.  Yes, after shower I got more itching and my whole body turn in red if I try to rash and sometimes to use hair dry to blow my body to make me feel better, i could even write on my body with the finger nail and a few second later I could read it.  CETIRIZINE help a lot about 95% of itching gone.

Because that was my fifth ivf for my first child and also so had one MC and one etopic, I'm more careful on that time and only have sex on the second trimester, not first and third one.
