Sounds pretty neat. I saw your other post on home inseminations. We thought about trying that before we did an official doc's IUI, but since there were SO many complications, it was just better to do it the docs way. Our OB was VERY nice to give us a cut rate. So, the first 6 or 7 were pretty affordable. The most expensive thing was the storage fees!!!
We looked up NW when we were starting out, but chose Cal Cryo because of my docs recommendations.
Best of luck in the upcoming insemination!
i am using known donor sperm,i have used a sperm bank in the past NWCRYOBANK and that is a wonderful place ,they have a chat room and everything,i didnt have any luck but still go to the chat room,we are now using a known donor,we dont know him but we found him in a yahoo group,he sent us a copy of all tests he had done,a contract and a pic of himself.we do not pay anything for the sperm, just the shipper and shipping cost which is 69.00 this will be our 2nd cycle trying him,the 1st one i did insemination too late,so hoping this time works,he has 11 confirmed pregnancies so thats good and we are excited.we are doing home inseminations.anyone is welcome on the nw boards, they are full of support and give wonderful advice.
Yes, I'm using ds. I haven't gotten pregnant yet, but have been trying. I used Oregon Fertility clinic for a few cycles and then switched to Cryogeniclabs. I would highly recommend cryogenic labs. Your able to view photos, hear audio recorded interviews, see adult silholettes of the donors, read staff's impressions on the donors and also view lengthy medical and personal profiles. I've been very happy with them so far. Their prices are reasonable as well. The link is www . cryogeniclabs . com
We did use donor sperm for our first child and were successful. We had 3 IUIs with donor A and 2 with donor B. The last IUI was also with Follistim and progesterone suppositories and then shots. We used the Cal Cryobank, although there are plenty others around the country.
Any questions about this?
