Any Successful Insurance Appeal - Post Tubal Ligation

Hi - I lost a tube and had the other tied when the OB/surgeon told me that I should absolutely not get pregnant again (I also had a uterine resection for an ectopic pregnancy - which is why I lost a tube). The surgery was rather urgent and there wasn't time to seek second opinions, etc. I later found out that this may not be the case as others with ruptured/resceted uteri have gone on to have successful pregnancies. I am seeking a second opinion from another Dr.

I know that IVF is my only option if my uterus can accomodate a pregnancy. I also know that ins. cos that normally cover it (such as mine) will not after tubal ligation. Has anyone successfully appealled?
