Thank ladies!
Well I did call a few ins companies to find out, including Blue Cross NJ, Aetna and Oxford which is the one that I have through my job, but I work for a small company so they don't pay for IVF, they do for IUI and meds. I was looking to buy something on my own like an individual plan, and none of the comp had it, only for groups :( and that *****! they really should change that soon, as infertility has become such a common problem!
So I guess I'll keep saving....thank you again!
I think in NJ any company with a certain number of employees has to cover IVF. Not sure if you are working. Blue cross NY does not. Big debate needs to happen because erectile dysfunction is covered but ovarian dysfunction is not. Male oriented society lives on in 2011. Good luck!
You can check to see if the Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey covers fertility. I have it for Illinois (the HMO) and here it does cover it. My RE's office told me it is one of the best plans they've seen as far as coverage. I'm not sure if coverage is the same in other states. Good luck to you!
I live and work in NJ and I have United Healthcare. They cover me up to $15,000 lifetime max. And prescriptions are not included in that amount so it's pretty good coverage!
