Any suggestions?

I am starting to drive myself crazy.  I am now on day 40.  I went to the re for bloodwork and of course it was negative.  She said my proegestrone was up but that could also mean I ovuated later than normal.  I am usually a 28 day cycle and so even if I did ovulate later wouldn't I have AF by now?  I thought I started to spot yesterday but now today there is absolutely nothing.  If I don't get AF by Tuesday she wants me to come in for another bloodtest.  She won't give me anything(provera) to bring on my period because the progestrone is still elevated.  I have no symptoms of pregnancy or AF.  Can anyone relate to me?  I am going crazy because I am so anxious to start ivf and I need af before I can!!  Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Lisa

I definitely relate as I am cd37, and waiting for af so I can start my 2nd round of IUI.  The reason I am late is because of ovarian cysts (brought on by the injections/hcg shot from my first round of IUI).

Have you been checked for cysts?  They should be able to determine this through u/s.  Just a suggestion.

Good luck....the waiting is very annoying.  I have never wanted af to visit so badly before! :)

It could be either...If you had just ovulated when you had the blood tests done, it would be too early for implantation and a positive pregnancy test. And at the same time, if you're not pregnant, it could also be too early for your period if you ovulated late. If that makes sense. Did she say what your progesterone levels were? And did you track any other symptoms for ovulation, like BBT, cervical mucus, ovulation cramps, etc.?

Sorry...I have no idea why this keeps writing the same thing over and over!

Hi-
I had my progestrone checked on Tuesday.  You don't think I am pregnant you think my period will start soon?  I took this month off from doing 4 IUI's so I am so used to being on time and now it is so late.  Yes I'm supposed to start this coming cycle with my first IVF.  How about you?

When did you have your progesterone checked? If it was just a few days ago, and you did in fact ovulate late this cycle, then that could definitely be the reason you haven't started your period yet. I think it makes sense to wait for the next progesterone test...just in case :-) Are you starting IVF this next cycle?
