Anyone get hcg test 3 days apart rather than 2? Got new #'s and worried...

I am sorry if anyone has already read this question on the pregnancy forum, but I am posting it here too in the hope that someone can help me?

My first beta was 303

Two days later 847

THREE days later only 2085

I would have been happy with this number if it was two days, but it was 3 days and I thought it would have been more for three days?!! It is only a couple of houndred over double from the previous. Do you think this ok? I am getting another beta tomorrow morning, which will be around 40 hours or so from the last, so it should give me a clearer number, but I am really worried about this last one!

As you said, your next test will give you a clearer pic. of what your beta's doing.  What does the doctor say?  Sorry, I wish I could be of more luck but much SSBD to you!

Doctor said she is happy with that number as she thinks that it should rise every 2-3 days. But I have always thought it was 2 days NOT 3. She is not an RE, just a normal dr. I was under the care of an RE as we did one IUI cycle which was unsucessful and were going to start ICSI in the new year, but since I fell pregnant naturally I had to see my local dr - my RE wouldn't see me.

I always heard it should double every 48 to 72 hours.  My RE also told me it needs to go up a minimum 60% in 48.  (doubling is ideal but 60% is still positive).

Based on your numbers I think you are fine... congrats!!

I wouldn't worry. I think the numbers look absolutely wonderful. You have to take into consideration, if it had been 2 days and the number only 1700 that would have been sufficient enough. It also depends on the time. For them to be very accurate you would have to make sure the test are done at the same exact time and ran the same exact time. Which is impossible so I wouldn't think about the numbers for 3 days only being 2085. Another thing... every 2 -3 days... so if your numbers rise every 2 days for a couple days.. it may take some 3 days... that's why they have a ratio... I wouldn't worry about it. I think your numbers are wonderful! Congrats!!
