My husband and I have been trying to conceive since September, 2008 with no baby yet. The doctors know that I have endometriosis and have tested me for P.C.O.S. but all the test results have come back that I DON'T have PCOS which is definately a blessing. However, I had a laparoscopic
surgery in December of 2008 to take out any endometrial cells and ever since then, my periods have been completely irregular to non-existant. We're on our third month of Clomid 100mg (2x daily) and Prometrium 100mg (2x daily) and I'm just wondering if anyone has had any of these issues and if you've ever conceived. We are tring to remain hopeful but it's so hard when month after month my physician has to induce a period with Provera!! Please Help!
YES... I did have hard time TTC and I am pregnant right now.
My husband and I tried to conceive since July 07. We tried until March 09 then we gave up. Doctor put me all kind of fertility medicine such as Clomid 100mg, Femara, Estradiol, Prometrium, Repronex, Follistim.. We tried and tried and nothing happen. We even tried 2 IUI and not success.. In April the doctor told me take a break and he will perform laparoscopic
surgery on 04/17/09. We will try again in June 09. The surgery went fine. Everything inside of me look good inside and nothing stopping me not to conceive... The major factor is my age.. I am 38 years old and last time I conceived was in 1993. and i was on birth control since my last baby was born.. 14 years on birth control...
After the surgery... I waited for my period to come and didn't come. It's suppose to come in May 2nd. I called the doctor and he told me usually after the surgery, period will be mess up for couple cycles.. Somehow my body changed.. my boobs were sore and I feel fatigue. I called again and he told me take pregnancy test. I took and it's positive.. I was shock
and didn't want to believe I am pregnant so I bought whole package and test each day...the result didn't change. I guess I was ovulated late (some where 4/23 - 4/ 26 instead of CD 15 which 4/17) and some how I got pregnant. It's a miracle. Today I am 11 weeks 6 days.
So there are hope... you are still young so you have more chance to conceive... The main thing is you need to take care of yourself... eat healthy diet.. exercise regularly... the most important thing is relax yourself and relax your mind.. keep yourself away from stress... If you have stress... your period will mess up and it's hard to track down when you ovulate.
I just wanted to ask you if you're RE would consider putting you on Femara instead of Clomid.....I'm from Canada and many of the Dr's here wouldn't even consider using clomid....It has a tendancy to dry up your cervical mucous and has some pretty harsh side effects. I first started taking Femara in Jan 2009...got pregnant in Feb but eneded up having a blighted ovum. I've just started taking the Femara again a couple of days ago ahd hope to see some results very soon! The only side affect that I've had is a slight headache...You take 1 pill days 3-7 of your cycle. Hope this somehwat helps, just thought it might be something for you to consider.....Best of luck in the future and take care!
